Learning how to card count is just one side of what is a multi-faceted exercise. In fact knowing basic strategy and a counting system is nowhere near enough. Game selection while being important in games like poker is also important in blackjack as well.
The number of decks, rules and the level of penetration are all important to having a successful blackjack career. But yet these pale into insignificance compared with being able to not only get large amounts of money onto the table unnoticed but to also get away with this repeatedly. Going from £2 to £100 is very difficult during the same shoe simply because the time frame is too quick.
This 50/1 bet spread would get noticed by any casino and your playing career would be short to say the least. But there are ways to get your bet up to £100 from £2 without it getting anywhere near the same level of heat from the pit. Firstly you can create the illusion of betting more money to begin with.
Instead of betting the table minimum all the time, you could say start the shoe with a £2 and then slowly add to that as the true count goes from negative to neutral meaning that neither you nor the casino has an edge. Here you can look to double up your bet from £2 to £4 and from £4 to £8……this wouldn’t even get noticed and it also wouldn’t be costing you any money either as the count would be neutral.
This would simply look to the casino staff that you were altering your bets from £2 to £8. You then have to put on something of an act, if you lose a hand that has £2 on it, suddenly you need to build the image that you are doubling up trying to recoup losses. If you win and the count is still rising then you need to still double up although now you doing it for a different reason and you now build the image that you are chasing big wins.
People use betting systems all the time on roulette and gaming staff are used to seeing punters use them. You have to create the image that you are playing blackjack with nothing more than a betting system. If you pull this off then you can actually get table minimums up to some big bets quite easily. If you have already laid the groundwork when the count went neutral and you are starting from an elevated position of £8 and not £2 then this is only four double ups away from going through the £100 barrier.
You are simply using what appears to be some sort of crazy betting system and when interspersed with an act can enable you to get amounts of money across the table that are far in excess of what you started with.
